A blown film extrusion machine melts plastic granules into a uniform melt and extrudes it through an annular die. Air inflates the extruded material into a bubble, which is cooled, guided through the collapsing frame and haul-off system, and wound into film rolls.
In multilayer co-extrusion, separate extruders feed materials into a common die to form distinct layers within the film. Manufacturers can adjust the formulation and layer distribution to achieve the required balance of strength, sealing performance and optical properties.
